JOBS Help for Business Listings
Information about posting jobs and volunteer opporutnities to our Jobs Board using the JOBS tab of your FoundLocally listing
Use the JOBS tab in your listing, after you have logged in, to access these features.
Post Jobs & Volunteer Opportunities
A time-saving and money-saving feature of FoundLocally’s free listing is the ability to post jobs openings using the JOBS tab. You can post part-time, intern, middle management and executive postings, as well as seasonal or mat-leave positions. Recruiters and agencies are invited to post their jobs. Community groups can also post their volunteer positions.
Post Jobs Quickly
Click on ADD NEW on your JOBS page. Enter position details and select the appropriate industry and job categories, from the pull-down lists. These help job seekers narrow down their search. You can recommend a new category be added using our Feedback form. New Feature: You can now post jobs to other FoundLocally communities (NOT permitted for “network marketing” organizations),
Clone Jobs to Create Similar Positions
Post each job individually to improve findability by categories (remember, there is no additional cost for job postings, so you don’t need to skimp!). Just click on CLONE beside any job listing and edit the details that are different.
Check Posted Resumes
Registered businesses can search & view resumes posted by job seekers, grouped using the same categories used for posting jobs. Use the RESUMES tab. Job seekers have posted and update their resumes as their status changes.
Update/Edit Your Jobs
Use a Job’s EDIT button to modify application deadlines, job posting expiries, descriptions and categories. Select the Active/Inactive checkbox to turn job postings on off.
Jobs are Automatically De-Activated After Expiry Date
They are hidden from the public listing but not deleted, so you may edit and re-use details for future job openings. Retain your Job descriptions for future openings or for high turnover positions. New Feature: We now send out a reminder e-mail about a week before job posting expiry, so you can extend the expiry date.
Manage Large Numbers of Jobs
Use the new POWER USER tab to manage multiple listings (like a chain). A job posted to one listing can be cloned to any (or all) of your other listings. These cloned jobs can be set as “active” (looking) or “inactive” (not currently looking)
Add Specific Web Links for each Job
You can link to a detailed job description on your web site or even your online application form.
